Frequently Asked Questions

?How does the anti-theft alarm work?
The CarVault unit contains vibration sensors. If someone attempts to forcibly remove the unit, cut the strap, or shake it violently, a loud 110dB alarm will sound.
?Do I need a subscription for the GPS?
No subscription is required. The GPS feature can work with an optional SIM card to provide real-time location data.
?Will the automatic wrapping hit my car?
No. The deployment extends outward first, then settles down. The soft fabric covers the vehicle without heavy metal parts touching your paint.
?What happens if it gets windy?
CarVault is designed to stay stable in strong winds. For safety, connectors are made to release in extreme gusts to prevent the cover from acting like a sail.
?How long does the battery last?
On a full charge, the battery lasts up to ~45 days with normal use. It recharges via USB (car charger or wall outlet).
?Will it withstand heavy snow loads?
Yes. The frame supports heavy snow, keeping it off your glass and paint and making clearing your car faster.
?Does the alarm go off if a cat jumps on it?
The sensitivity is calibrated to detect sustained tampering or forceful removal attempts, minimizing false alarms from small animals or light rain.
?Is the fabric replaceable?
Yes. If the canopy gets damaged (or you want a different color), the fabric can be detached and replaced without buying a whole new unit.
